Panasonic TX-L65AX900 HDTV Preview

Panasonic unveiled their latest AX900 series recently and today the writers from Trusted Reviews released their first impressions. They got the chance to see the new TX-L65AX900, which features a 65 inch screen, LED backlighting, and UHD (3840 x 2160) resolution. With Panasonic announcing to end their plasma line this TV is expected to provide better image quality. The writers were very impressed with the quality and thought that colors looked remarkably good. They saw the TV get compared to the company’s flagship plasma TV, the TX-P60ZT65B. The writers were happy to report that the TX-L65AX900 did indeed perform better than the plasma with deeper black levels and impressive color accuracy. In the end, the writers stated, “Given that many of the engineers now working on Panasonic’s LCD TVs were once key engineers in Panasonic’s plasma department and Pioneer’s plasma department before that, there seems every reason to hope that the backlight haloing issue will be resolved before the TV finally goes on sale.”
