Finflux 32H503 HDTV Review

One of the new HDTVs from Finlux is the 32H503. This 32 inch LCD TV features WXGA (1366 x 768) resolution and a 4000:1 contrast ratio. Today, the writers from Trusted Reviews released their review of this particular device. One thing that makes this TV appealing to consumers is its low retail price. The TV is well within the budget category, partly due to its lesser resolution. Unfortunately, the problem with cheaper TVs is that they usually have a reason for being cheap. The writers noted that the picture quality was average at best and there was almost no shadow detail. They also noted that there were a lot of judder problems, especially while watching Blu-ray content. The final verdict the writers made was, “We might as well admit it: we started out with the 32H503 thoroughly expecting to hate it. We’ve just seen too many rubbish mega-cheap 32in TVs from too many small and wannabe brands over the years. However, while the 32H503 can probably never fairly be described as anything more than an average performer overall, the fact that it even manages to be average for £229 has to count as a minor miracle.”

Thanks for the review. By the sounds of it, I may be dodging a bullet with this one, as it was one of the TVs I was looking into. I’m kind of in a hurry and trying to cram my research in as best I can. I need to buy two TVs before next week, now that DISH, my employer, released the Hopper. With the Hopper and Joeys not only will I have DVR in every room, but I’ll have HD in every room too (hence why I want the new TVs). Plus with the Hopper’s gigantic hard-drive I won’t have to worry about running out of recording time either. Now I just have to pick up the TVs so I can have HD sets in every room.
