Toshiba 46UL863B HDTV Review

The latest HDTV to come from Toshiba is the 46UL863B. This 46 inch LED screen can display full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution and a 4000:1 contrast ratio. Today, Trusted Reviews released their review of the 46UL863B. They first look at the design and thought it nice compared to similarly priced TVs. They praised how easy it was to setup and calibrate the TV. The integrated wi-fi was a nice feature to see integrated in the 46UL863B. Unfortunately though, there were several problems with the TV like some backlight consistency problems and some noticeable motion blur. Also, the writers thought that the sound system was flimsy and could have been vastly improved upon. The final verdict was, “We started out feeling confused by the 46UL863B, and that feeling hasn’t reduced now we’re finished with it. Many of its key features promise much but ultimately feel only partially formed, and no amount of headline-grabbing ‘personalisation’ innovations can disguise the fact that Toshiba’s boffins would have been better employed figuring out how to make a better edge LED lighting system.”
