Panasonic TX-P42V20 HDTV Review

The Panasonic TX-P42V20 is the company’s latest HDTV to be released in the UK. This 43” plasma screen features full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution and a 5000000:1 contrast ratio. Today, the writers from Trusted Reviews released their experience with the P42V20. The writers are happy with the way that the TV performs, but they are not so happy to see the same chassis that its predecessors have. They thought that the frame should at least have a new look to warrant the improvements that were made. The writers were happy with the connection panel, especially the USB ports. This allows a user to connect a memory stick in order to display video, pictures, or even play music. The screen displayed excellent black levels and the colors were bright and accurate. The only problem that the writers found with the TV was with the audio system. They thought that quality of the sound was good at first, but the more you listen to it, the more you realize that it isn’t. Overall the final verdict was, “If you want the vast majority of the picture quality of Panasonic’s latest 3D models but don’t need 3D, then the P42V20 is the answer to your prayers. It’s an outstanding 42in TV in almost every way, and as such manages to make its £1,160 price look better value than we’d expected.”
