Sony Announces 3DTVs will Launch in Summer

With the race going to be the first company to release a 3DTV, Sony has been reported to be well on their way. Recently, the company has announced that they are rolling out 3D demonstrations to stores through out Canada with the expectation to release TVs in the early summer. Sony plans to release two versions of their 3D HDTVs in the country. The first will be the complete set, which will include the 3D ready TV, a set-top transmitter, and two pairs of active shutter glasses. The second set will only have the 3D ready TV and not the transmitter or glasses. The second version is for anyone who wants the latest TV for their home, but isn’t sure yet on whether to poor extra money for the 3D.
