LG 42SL9500 HDTV Review

One of the newest LED HDTVs to be released from LG Electronics is the 42SL9500. This 42-inch display features full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution and a 3000000:1 dynamic contrast ratio. Recently, the writers from Trusted Reviews got the opportunity to take a closer look at this TV. One of the first things that the writers notice is the retail price. They claim that even though it might be a deal when compared to other LED models, it is still expensive when you compare it to everything else. The features were one of the first aspects the writers liked it was full of adjustment features that are user friendly and it came with some convenient connection options like USB and Bluetooth connectivity. The display was very good, but the writers thought that the black levels could have been better, and the TV had some problems showing motion scenes. However, the verdict was, “Considered against LG’s non-LED LCD TVs, the 42SL9500 can be considered a modest success and a fine TV – though it should be said that the brand’s SL8000 slimline CCFL LCD series run it mighty close for similar money while also adding 200Hz to the mix. However, if you’re after a TV that outguns the rest of the LED world, good as the 42SL9500 is, it doesn’t quite make the grade.”
