Some of the New Technolgies to Look for in Future HDTVs
There are many new advances that are coming to the HDTV market shortly. Incase you are confused as to what they are; DVICE has listed the top advances that will be coming to home theaters sooner than expected.
One of the hottest advances is the development of wireless HD. This allows a TV to be able to receive wireless HD (1920 x 1080) resolution content with out the problems of tangling wires. This will also allow a user to be able to place their HDTV anywhere they wish and only have to worry about how to manage the power cord.
Another major advancement is connected HDTVs. This allows HDTVs to be connected to a user’s internet connection and be able to stream movies and TV shows from online websites. It also allows users to use specific websites like Netflix, Yahoo Widgets, Facebook, and many others. This technology is already available if you buy a media box or a Blu-ray player that can connect to the internet. Only a few TVs are available today that have this technology integrated, but it will probably be used more widely in years to come.
Probably the most talked about development is 3D HDTV. Companies like Panasonic and Sony have been campaigning this for a long time and expect to have products out at the beginning of 2010. The only concern that many consumers have is will their be enough 3D content available to warrant purchasing a new 3D HDTV.
