3M Displays 3D Display Panels

The development of 3D technology is the big thing for TV manufactures. Almost everyone is trying to rush ahead and develop displays that can bring 3D content to the home with out the problems of headaches and dizziness that usually comes with the technology. Recently, 3M has developed a way to make the side effects disappear as well as those annoying glasses. 3M is now displaying prototypes for their new 3D panel that will allow anyone to see the 3D image. The secret is a technique called conoscopy and uses a special surface that has a special film that has mini lenses on one side and a prism structure on the other. The prism structure is what separates the left and right eye images. 3M has made two working models of their conoscopy displays, a 9-inch, and a 2.8-inch LCD panel. the company also plans to start volume production of these displays very soon.
