LG Electronics is a major player in global flat panel displays. Recently, the company was pleased to hear that they were being given four awards for four of their top products. Among the winners is their SL8000 LCD TV, which won the European Best Value TV 2009-2010. This HDTV features the latest in LCD display technology and comes with full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution, and a 150000:1 dynamic contrast ratio. The display is also designed to provide a seamless look that has no gaps between the screen and the bezel. Unfortunately, LG has not released this HDTV to the consumer market yet. Another winners included LG’s BD390 Blu-ray DVD player, which features built-in Wi-Fi connection and DLNA certification. This device won the European Best Value Blu-Ray Player 2009-2010 award. The player can also connect to the internet for live software updates and instant access to online video streaming from YouTube. More information about the SL8000 will be released as it becomes available.
