Best Buy and TiVo Make Way for New HDTVs with Built-in TiVo Systems

bestbuytivo_a1

Best Buy is one of the biggest home electronic stores in the US. Recently, the company announced that they have made a deal with TiVo to push their DVR in order to make way for some new TiVo products. TiVo is stating that they intend to release a new set-top box as well as some new HDTVs will the TiVo software built-in. This development will eliminate the need for the bulky TiVo box and allow a user to access the DVR as they would access the menu on a normal TV. Unfortunately, there is no set information on which manufacturers will be tapped to integrate the TiVo software into their HDTVs. More information will be released about this announcement as it becomes available.
