Sharp Unveils LE700, and New E77 Series HDTVs

Sharp is proud to introduce their latest additions to their AQUOS HDTV series. Among the new displays is the new LE700 line, which has the first AQUOS models to feature LED backlit systems. Sharp is also debuting two new HDTVs to their E77 series, which is known for their big screen displays. All of the new TVs feature HD (1920 x 1080) resolution and will come with four HDMI ports, a component, RGB, and even an RS-232 socket for custom installers.
The LE700 line is expected to release before the end of July. The series will comprise of four screen sizes, including the LC-52LE700UN, LC-46LE700UN, LC-40LE700UN, and the LC-32LE700UN, which feature 52”, 46”, 40”, and 32” screens, respectively. These new models feature a 2000000:1 contrast ratio and use a considerably low amount of energy. For example; the 52” display only consumes 105W, which is 68% less than the required consumption for Energy Star. All four of these HDTVs will be released in July and will retail between $1099 and 2799.
The E77 series will be receiving two new screen sizes, a 60” and a 65” display. The LC-60E77UN and LC-65E77UN, respectively, feature Sharp’s Advanced Super View Superlucent Panel, which is designed to display a dramatically bright and crisp display while reducing haze and reflectivity. These two models will also come with a 4ms response time and 120 Hz frame rate conversion. These two HDTVs will not be released until September, and will retail for $3499 and $4499.
