The Philips 56PFL9954H HDTV is definitely one of a kind. Recently, Philips announced that this HDTV will be released soon in the UK. This 56” display is the first TV to feature a 21:9 aspect ratio along with a 2560 x 1080 resolution. The bigger aspect ratio is the same ratio that most movies are originally filmed in, which gives viewers and a truly amazing display that isn’t compressed or shrunk to fit a smaller ratio. The connection panel includes four HDMI ports as well as dual composite, component, s-video, and SCART ports. Two tweeter and two subwoofers fill any room with 60 watts of high quality sound. Philips has also loaded this HDTV with features like plug and play, auto formatting, and a multicolor backlight that can be changed to fit any room. The actual release date for the UK has not been announced, but the retail price will be estimated at about $7400.
