Mvix Announces Ultio Media Player Coming Soon

MvixUSA is the market leader in technology and products for hard-disk based HTPCs, portable media-centers and hi-definition digital signage players. Recently, the company announced the soon to be released Ultio media box. This device supports a long list of media formats including DivX® (3/4/5/6), Xvid, AVC-HD, MPEG 1/2/4, WMV-9, ASF(WMV9), MKV, DVD(IFO, VOB), ISO, MP3, WMA, AAC, OGG, FLAC, AC3, and many others. The Ultio is capable of playing HD (1920 x 1080) resolution content and can also pull content from internet websites like Netflix, Hulu, and Youtube, just to name a few via Ethernet or an optional Wireless-N dongle. In addition, the internal hard drive comes with a 1.5 TB storage capacity. The Ultio will not release until July 6th, but the company is accepting pre-orders for the low price of $169.

    I was so excited when I received my Mvix Ultio, I installed it with 1.5TB HDD and completed all set up and configurations in exactly 5 minutes. I was amazed when I tried to stream the
    DTS to my Yamaha because DTS is not on the supported audio list. But it works!
    If you have a DTS capable receiver just set the audio out to RAW in the SETUP settings.
