Pros: Easy setup, great image quality, extensive features

Cons: Not really a negative but the remote only controls the TV. A universal remote would be nice.

Review: We looked at several different leading brands including Sony, Mitsubishi, etc but kept coming back to the Philips. There was just no comparison in picture quality. This Philips has a superior picture to any of the HDTVs under $2000 and better than many over $2000.

We have owned this HDTV for two weeks. Another family member was so impressed they had to purchase one. The setup was simple taking less than a minute. The image quality, in my opinion, is better than others in this price range. The 120Hz refresh rate and 2ms response makes for smooth motion even when viewing fast moving sports. The cabinet and base are attractive and well made. The unit has ample ports and connections for virtually any combination of gaming and home theater. We are very satisfied with our purchase. If you are looking for a LCD HDTV then you should really check out the Philips.

Pros: Price for what you get. Costco has it for $1299.99 right now

Cons: The auto format dose not work right - it continually resets itself in the Auto mode.

Review: Good HD tv with a ton of connectivity options including 4 hdmi. But I am really considering taking this back and spending the extra money for a Sony.

Pros: Absolutely great value. Pictures are stunning. Halo 3 and Gears of War look absolutely amazing. Also, this TV is one of the few in Philips series that takes 1080p signal over component.

Cons: Sometimes, the TV is just too good for SD signals. The natural motion engine brings intense clarity to movement, however sometimes you can see the judders around the movement. If you're watching anything SD, turn some features off and you're set. If you're watching anything HD, take full advantage of the TV.

Review: Definitely worth the bucks. There are firmware updates available to squash any common bugs (unless your tv comes with the latest firmware).

Pros: Average quality.

Cons: Picture flickers when picture format is set to automatic

Review: Uploaded the firmware upgrade immediately after purchase as picture had major flicker problems both with the DVD player and channel settings. New firmware corrected some of the picture flicker. Philips said that they plan no new firmware upgrades. The only way to not have picture flicker is to set the picture format on wide. When not in HD, everyone is wide. Hate this TV. Also have LG 55" tv. Love it.
